Wise Property Solutions has been a loyal sponsor of Family Promise for years. Joe and Karen Wise are passionate members of Johnson City’s community who decided to share their love with us one day.
The Wises learned about Family Promise and its mission when the church rotation model started in 2000. They have been going to Grandview Christian Church for 25 years and have developed a love for our mission through their work with the church. They started volunteering their time with Family Promise by providing fresh meals and snacks to the families. Their children offered a hand by making homemade welcome cards for the families when they were hosted by Grandview.
They continue to financially support us despite moving away from the church rotation model. Karen believes our new model that houses families in hotels will help the families find autonomy and a sense of security, knowing they will not have to move to a different church each week.
“We really believe in Family Promise’s vision,” said Karen. “They meet families’ needs and do everything possible to ensure they stay together while experiencing crisis.”
Their heart for people is what led them to help us. We are forever grateful for the Wises and our partnership with Wise Property Solutions. It is sponsorships like this that equip us with the tools we need to serve the unhoused.
