Bob and Betty B. Cooper have been donors at Family Promise for 15 years. They live passionate lives centered around community and family and dedicate much of their time and love to Family Promise.
Their adventures with Family Promise of Greater Johnson City began when Bob joined the board years ago. He was in charge of the development committee and worked tirelessly to provide needs of the organization.
When noting their involvement, Bob said, “Betty B. and I were looking for ways to be a part of Johnson City’s community, and the idea of keeping children and their families together rang a bell for us. It was pretty easy to get interested in Family Promise’s efforts.”
Bob and Betty B. embody what any organization would look for in a supporter; they not only make financial contributions but also like to get their hands involved. Bob was instrumental in bringing Family Promise’s playground in coordination with their church and spearheaded the move to our new location.
Family Promise’s Director, Bob Hall, has worked with the Coopers since 2009. He said, “When Bob Cooper makes a commitment, he will move heaven and earth to meet that commitment. We love to run ideas by him; he is one of our trusted confidantes.”
Bob and Betty B. are persistent in giving back to Johnson City. Their enthusiasm for and contribution to the community allow organizations like ours to thrive.
