Families Moving Home (FMH)

Families Moving Home is a program designed to provide rental assistance and case management support to homeless families with children once they “graduate” from IHN. FMH can accommodate 10-15 families (averaging two to six individuals per family) based on the availability of grant funds and the cost of housing that is available.

 

FMH assists families to reach three primary goals:

 

The FMH Case Manager works with families to find housing, collaborates with community resources, and assists families to develop and achieve personal goals related to employment, debt reduction/elimination, budgeting, school attendance, and living a healthy lifestyle.

 

FMH regularly hosts Life Skills (monthly) and Parenting (weekly) classes. These sessions are designed to provide our families with information and skills that will help them become more independent. Some topics include:
