Families Moving Home (FMH) has been the follow-up program to our shelter since 2008. It is a program designed to provide rental assistance and case management support to unhoused families once they “graduate” from our Interfaith Hospitality Network. FMH can accommodate five families (averaging two to six individuals per family) based on the availability of grant funds and the available housing cost.
FMH strives to offer education and support that can be used to increase skills and income. We often ask families, “What do you want?” and work with them to achieve their goals. FMH’s primary goal is to motivate families through supportive relationships while they increase their earning potential. We hope families leave this program knowing they can handle life independently.
